Kinney Group Named to CRN 2016 Solution Provider 500

The Indianapolis-based Cloud Solutions Integrator Earns Its First Ever List Placement on CRN’s 2016 Solution Provider 500 as it Celebrates a 10-Year Anniversary.

Indianapolis, IN, June 13, 2016 – Cloud Solutions Integrator, Kinney Group, announced today that CRN® has for the first time named Kinney Group to its 2016 Solution Provider 500 (SP500) list. The SP500 list is CRN’s annual ranking of the largest technology integrators, solution providers and IT consultants in North America by revenue.

The SP500 is CRN’s predominant channel partner award list, serving as the industry standard for recognition of the most successful solution provider companies in the channel since 1995. CRN has also released its 2016 SP500 Newcomers list, recognizing 47 companies making their debut in the SP500 ranking this year.

“We are humbled to have earned placement amongst great peers on the SP500 list. As well, we are thrilled to be one of the 47 Newcomers in 2016,” said Jim Kinney, President and CEO of Kinney Group. “CRN’s recognition helps validate our outlook, that through proper execution, cloud based IT solutions offer a secure, optimized, and thoroughly modern experience for everyone involved. We look forward to further helping organizations rethink their IT in the cloud to transform business and mission potential.” Kinney Group was one of two Indianapolis-based companies to make the list.

Founded in 2006 and celebrating its 10-year anniversary, Kinney Group observed a handful of exciting highlights in 2016. For example, the company named Sarah Nelms the Chief Financial Officer. Regarding its analytics capabilities, the company earned the distinction of Splunk Public Sector Services Partner of the Year. As for a compelling project, Kinney Group teamed up with Arrow and Splunk to test-drive an analytics strategy at the Indianapolis 500, leveraging predictive analytics and machine learning capabilities.

“The 2016 Solution Provider 500 represent a total, combined revenue of over $334 billion—a testament to their success in keeping pace with the rapidly changing demands of today’s IT market,” said Robert Faletra, CEO, The Channel Company. “This prestigious list recognizes those companies with the highest revenue and serves as a valuable industry resource for vendors seeking out top solution providers to partner with. We congratulate each of the Solution Provider 500 companies and look forward to their continued success.” A sampling from the 2016 Solution Provider 500 list will be featured in the June issue of CRN Magazine and at www.CRN.com/sp500.

Splunk and Kinney Group Partner to Back Race Team with Predictive Analytics and Machine Learning for Unique Insights on Track Conditions and Car Performance.

INDIANAPOLIS, IN–Splunk Inc. (NASDAQ:SPLK), provider of the leading software platform for real-time Operational Intelligence, today announced that Schmidt Peterson Motorsports (SPM) partnered with Splunk during the 100th running of the Indianapolis 500. Splunk, SPM and Splunk partner Kinney Group collaborated to analyze real-time operational data for all three SPM race cars.

“With the help of the Kinney Group and Splunk, we were able to gather data that is not readily available with our traditional systems. I am excited by the prospect of what analytics could do for racing in the near future,” said Sam Schmidt, Team Owner, Schmidt Peterson Motorsports.

“Kinney Group is honored to have had the opportunity to support Sam Schmidt and his team during the Indianapolis 500,” said Jim Kinney, President and CEO, Kinney Group. “We are continuously looking for creative ways to utilize the Splunk platform to harness the power of data analytics to give our customers an unfair advantage.”

Congratulations to SPM on a great showing in the Indianapolis 500 and to our partners Arrow Electronics, the team’s lead sponsor, and Kinney Group,” said Doug Merritt, President and CEO, Splunk. “Working with SPM in this historic race is a testament to the flexibility of the Splunk platform. If data can potentially give an edge to an IndyCar, imagine what it can do for car fleets, manufacturing floors, oil rigs and other industrial and Internet of Things applications.”
